After many renovations, Phuoc Lam Pagoda gradually became a large-scale, magnificent structure, but still retains the rustic, ancient appearance of the period of Southern land opening. Not only a sacred place of worship, the pagoda is also a witness to over a hundred years of history linked to the development of Tay Ninh Buddhism.
According to legend, the bronze statue of Linh Son Thanh Mau worshipped at the pagoda is a precious treasure, said to have been donated by Viceroy Le Van Duyet. During the war years, the statue was lost and later, by chance, returned to the pagoda – as a symbol of the protection and revival of Buddhism in Tay Ninh.

4.1. Getting There from the City Center and Ho Chi Minh City
Phuoc Lam Pagoda is located at No. 1B Phan Chu Trinh Street, Tan Ninh Ward, about 3.8 km from the center of Tay Ninh City and about 25 km from Sun World Ba Den Mountain tourist area. Thanks to its convenient location, visitors can easily travel by various means of transport.
From the center of Tay Ninh City, you can go by motorbike or car following Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, cross Quan Bridge, then turn right onto Phan Chu Trinh Street, go about 300–400 m to reach the pagoda.
If starting from Ho Chi Minh City, you can choose a coach or bus to Tay Ninh bus station, then travel by taxi or motorbike taxi to the pagoda with a cost ranging from about 30,000–50,000 VND. This journey takes about 2–2.5 hours, very convenient for a day trip.
4.2. Ideal Time to Visit
Tay Ninh's weather is divided into two distinct seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. Among them, the dry season from December to April is the ideal time, when the sky is clear, the air is pleasant, and travel is convenient. Built in the mid-19th century, it was once just a small hermitage called 'Am Ba Dong', later expanded into a pagoda and renovated many times over the years 1900, 1943, 1968, 1975, and 1990.
The pagoda's main hall is solemnly arranged, housing many precious ancient statues such as the gilded Amitabha Triad, the Eighteen Arhats, the Ten Kings of Hell, along with intricately carved wooden panels.

Seen from afar, the church appears majestic with its elegant pale yellow color, its bell tower soaring high like a spear pointing towards the sky. Inside is a solemn sanctuary, decorated with many biblical paintings and a statue of Jesus Christ with outstretched arms offering protection.

About 42 km from Tay Ninh center, Binh Thanh Ancient Tower is peacefully located amidst the Trang Bang fields. Built from the 8th-9th centuries, this is a surviving structure with strong ancient Oc Eo architecture, featuring large bricks stacked without mortar and intricate carved patterns.
Inside the tower is the sanctuary of Linga and Yoni, symbols of the god Shiva – representing the creative power and royalty of ancient Champa.
